Welcome to Pleasant View preschool
Pleasant View Preschool offers a part-time weekday kindergarten readiness program for children ages 3 to 5. Children come on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 am to 12 noon. Tuition is $120.00 per month for Monday-Wednesday-Friday classes. There is also an annual registration fee of $50.00 due at time of enrollment.
Our program begins the Wednesday after Labor Day and concludes before Memorial Day.
Our morning circle time includes good morning song, calendar, days of the week, weather, seasons, letter of the week, counting, shapes, monthly nursery rhythm, and our unit of study for the week. Some of the units we cover are manners, animals, colors, shapes, sets, seasons, opposites, rhyming words, nutrition and healthy living, five senses, community helpers plus holiday units. We have weekly Chapel Time lessons on Wednesdays.
During free play time, children complete an art project that’s generally related to our weekly unit. We also have a HATCH computer that’s offered weekly to each child during this time. The software on it is designed to help towards kindergarten readiness skills and provides the teachers with quarterly progress reports that track each child’s development. The children are provided a light, nutritious snack each morning after free play. Weather permitting, we enjoy our safe and well-equipped playground area. We conclude each morning with music, gross motor activities, or a story to recap our weekly unit.
