In January 2025, our mission team in Malawi visited the Dzaleka Refugee Camp—a place of unimaginable suffering, despair, and hopelessness. Originally built for 4,000 people, it now shelters over 50,000 refugees who have fled horrific conditions in their home countries.
A significant portion of Dzaleka’s population comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but refugees from Burundi, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and many other African nations also call the camp home. They have escaped war, persecution, terrorism, and genocide, only to find themselves in a place with limited opportunities and little hope for the future.
Over the next several years, we will be sending mission teams to Dzaleka. Your prayers, financial support, and participation are greatly needed and deeply appreciated.
